The whole family traveled to Kemmerer the third weekend in August for the annual Commissary camping trip. Our vehicle was packed to the brim with ferrets, Sage, and the three of us. I'm afraid we may have outgrown it already :). We were able to travel up to Great-Grandpa John's cabin for one night. It was so beautiful and peaceful up there. John made enchiladas that were delicious. Mikkhi got to meet his Great-Uncle Ray and cousin Jeff while we were up there. 6 weeks old and at the cabin already. It will be fun to visit when he's older too.Back to Kemmerer the next day and we enjoyed a delicious meal with lots of family. He got to meet his cousin Alan, Great-Uncle Frank, Great-Aunt Charlotte, cousin Raymond, and distant cousins Fred and Bob. Everyone had such a nice visit and Mikkhi was happy to be held by about everyone.
The men went camping and Mikkhi and Mom stayed with Grammy for a couple of days. It was relaxing and Mama got some studying done too. Mikkhi loves hanging out with grandparents so it was a special treat for him. We traveled home on
Sunday, Aug. 20th, stopping only twice, once in Rock Springs to wish cousin Randi a happy birthday and once in Rawlins. Everyone traveled very well at the end of the trip. At the beginning, Sage decided she needed to move to the front seat. I don't think she liked riding in the back with the ferrets.
Today we went to visith Great-Grandma and Great-Grandad Peterson. This is a picture of him with Great-Grandma with a beautiful hat and sweater that was handmade by Great-Aunt Mandy's friend Deb. I think it's so beautiful. It's getting a little chillier out so now he gets to wear some of the longer sleeved outfits :). Thanks for checking in. We sure are proud of this little cutie!
