My first 5K

On Sunday, September 10th I strolled in my first 5K with Grandma and Mom. It was the 2006 Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Association. I was so comfy that I slept the whole time. The four of us were a team “The Goobers”-Emmalie, Grandma, Mom and I.

We had a busy weekend. After returning from Steamboat on Friday, I went to Grandma’s going away party. She’s a full time nurse up in Torrington now and no longer works at PVH. Her PVH friends threw her a nice going away party. Now when she comes to Fort Collins she can just visit instead of having to work all of the time. Then, on Saturday, I went to my second wedding. It was a Scottish wedding and I got to hear bagpipes. In the afternoon, I went with Mom and Grandma to a reunion and was able to meet people that knew Mom when she was little. We had a grand time.

I weigh 11# 12oz now. I’m growing slowly but surely. Mama loves my chubby cheeks and fat little thighs. Daddy smiles at the bald spot on my head. It’s just because I move all of the time and have to look every which way. My favorite time of day is when Dad takes me for a walk around the pond. It relaxes me and he always seems to get me to go to sleep that way.

Today, Mom and Dad and I took a drive up to Estes Park. There is a new gelato shop there. I slept in my chair while Mom and Dad enjoyed cups of the yummy treat and a very nice time spent together.
Thanks for checking in, Love, Mikkhi
