The Ranch

This week we headed up to Fort Laramie to visit Grandma and Grandad at the Ranch. For a special treat, Grammy and Grandpa were visiting the Moats' so we got to hang out with them for a while too. Most of us had dinner together on Thursday night and had a great time. Mikkhi enjoyed looking at the lights and dancing to the music from the Juke box. He also is interacting with his toys more. We have a picture where he hooked his frog toy with his arm. He did it on his own, and although intellectually I know it was an accident, as a parent I'd like to think that my child is exceptionally advanced. He is interacting more and more and even sneaks in a few smiles every once in a while. When we went on a walk, I carried him in the sling and he is starting to like it, yay! At home, he enjoys looking at his mobiles and watching the images. He has three mobiles, and two of them need new batteries already. He loves the music.

We went to Art in the Park in Loveland today. We saw a lot of beautiful artwork that we would love to add to our house, but will wait for a while before indulging. Mikkhi was such a good baby and slept pretty much the entire time. I carried him with the carrier because I thought it would be easier than pushing the stroller on the grass. The weather was overcast but it was still pretty hot outside. We walked ALOT so John and I are both pretty tired too. All of us took naps this afternoon.

We also had a nice visit with my cousin Kelly and her family. She has two little boys and it was great to see them play. I hope that we can get together more often as the kids grow up. I was glad to hang out with them for a while.

Well, once again, I'm having trouble loading my pictures. So, I'll post the narrative and try and get the pictures in later. Thanks for your patience :).
