Our Family

We are a family of 3, or 8, depending on how you look at it--we have always considered our pets as family. We are a happily married couple with one baby and 5 pets--four ferrets and a dog. Blogging is something new to me, so please bear with me. I will probably add some more insight as I get used to it. Here are some pictures for you to view.

We are super busy with our super cute baby and love every minute of it. Mikkhi Matthew made his appearance on July 1st, and weighed 7# 8oz. We are planning a couple of road trips coming up so that will be an adventure for sure. I decided to try and blog after my cousin, Jill, started it. It seems like a great way for family and friends to be updated on what's going on in our lives. Thanks for the encouragement, Jill.

Let me introduce you to our furry family. Our "fuzzies" (or ferrets) are Moose, Jinx, Tink, and Wheezer. Our 7 year old puppy is Sage. She has become our permanent nanny. She watches over Mikkhi and lets us know when he needs something. Her favorite spot is under his cradle. (By the way, he is on his back in this picture, but his head is turned and the camera is just at a weird angle with the blanket by the rail). It is challenging trying to take walks with an excited dog and a baby, but we try and fit one in every day. It's been so hot here lately, our favorite time of day is early morning or early evening. Wheezer is the only ferret who has had the privilege of meeting Mikkhi. He is super gentle and we wanted this photo opportunity. Wheezer just cuddled up and almost fell asleep. It was so cute!

Well, I think I'll end this first post. Somehow, the pictures of the pets didn't show up on the preview, so I'll try and add them a little later. It was great to attempt to blog and hopefully with a little practice, the pages will improve :).
