New Adventures

I’ve been trying to pull myself into a sitting position for a couple of weeks now. So, Mom thought it was time for the walker. Dad and Mom put it together tonight and I was so delighted to sit in it like a big boy. It was great playing with the toys on the tray and seeing all sorts of things from a new perspective. I’m too little to actually walk in it, but being upright for a few minutes was pretty cool. Mama is so happy that Daddy helped her put it together; she’s so excited to see me in it.

I visited my Great-grandparents Dale and Helen this week. It’s always fun to visit them. I was sort of grumpy because Mom woke me up from a nap, but they did get a few smiles out of me yet. I played with toys that Mom used to play with when she was little and Great-Grandma played a music box for me.

Mom is including some pictures from a family BBQ we had last weekend at Great-Grandma Lois and Great-Grandpa Charles' house. I was able to visit lots of family members for several days in a row. Was I spoiled????....maybe a little. I loved visiting with my second cousins and taking in all of the sights.

Right now I am laying on Mom and Dad’s bed talking to the light and watching the fan. I can make all sorts of sounds with my voice and delight in the sound of my own voice.

Dad took a good picture of me during bath-time. I love feeling the warm water being poured on me and Mom has to watch out because I kick and kick and kick and splash and splash and splash, then I laugh and laugh and laugh. It’s quite the adventure.

Mama starts work on Monday. She is looking forward to her new adventure, but will miss me sooooo much. She contemplated trying to figure out a way to take me to work. Not gonna happen. She is ready to use the education she worked so hard to complete and it will be good for me to interact with other kids some of the time and spend more time with Dad the other time. Mom will enjoy the quality time that we have together all that much more.

Well, I’d better sign off for now. I hope to update in a week or so, but that will depend on the schedule of my typist.
